It’s true what they say, London is a city of villages. The city is filled with amazing and unique areas which are all completely individual in their styles and specialities. The problem is that not all areas are palces you could spend the whole of your time in London in, either not having enough entertainment or not being central enough to truly appreciate the essence of the city. One of the pluses of an area like Paddington is its location in relation to many of the main areas of the city that people would want to visit. If you’re staying in the Grand Park London Hyde Park Hotel then you’re in luck as you’ll be surrounded by iconic London sights which will really make your trip.
Great access to transport links
First things first, the transport links in the Paddington area are extensive. For starters, Paddington Station is one of the main railway stations coming into the city and serve most parts of the country including Yorkshire and Scotland. This is also where the Heathrow Express comes in, a very nippy train that takes you right from the airport into the heart of the city. If you’re looking to use the underground, Paddngton Station serves the Bakerloo Line whilst the nearby Underground service serves the Bakerloo, Circle, District, Hammersmith & City line. These lines have a reach all across the London and make it easy, either directly or via connections to get to almost anywhere you want to go.
Bars and Restaurants
Although the area has great travel, there is also an extensive amount of restaurants, bars and Accommodation near Hyde Park London Paddington. The Beany Green near Little Venice is an amazing canal side Australian Café which has won many awards for its great tasting Ozzie Breakfasts lunches as well as being a great place for commuters to relax after work, partly down to its great drinks menu and above and beyond cocktail selection. If it’s something more outdoorsy you’re looking for, the new Pergola behind Paddington Station is a prime place to go for food on a sunny afternoon. The outdoors DJ, the mix of Meican, burgers and an 850 person capacity alongside day beds, this social eating area is a great place to fall into a food coma.
Shops for the kids
What better gift from Lodnon’s Paddington area than something heralding from the awe inspiring universe of the cute and cuddly Paddington Bear? The cuddly Peruvian stowaway bear was the subject of Michael Bond’s book series which began in 1950’s, before it was adapted into a TV series and then a film in 2014. With a Paddington Bear shop in Paddington Station, there’s also several gift shops in the area which will sell merchandise relating to the Ben Whishaw voiced Bear.
