Queen’s Birthday Parade

The Queen’s Birthday falls on the 21st of April but due to June’s usual chances of better weather, a national celebration takes place on the 8th of that month.

The day is famous for its Trooping of the Colour when the Palace Guard parade along the Mall and St James’s Park. If you are on the lookout for a great way to spend the day, watching from these two public spaces will give you free access and prime position to see the full parade get underway.

Make sure to get there before 10 AM, when the parade gets underway to ensure a prime viewing spot!

Open Garden Squares Weekend

From the Bodyguard to The Lion King, the start of summer in London promises to be a real showstopper. Whether you’re on the lookout for a foot-tapping family favourite, or you want to sample something new on the West End, this is the perfect place to get a taste of London’s culture.

From the beginning of June, you’ll be able to book tickets for some of your favourite movie classics, all whilst cruising down the River Thames. With a diverse roster of films, including Dirty Dancing and a Star is Born, this gives open-air cinema a whole new meaning.

All Points East

Music events in London

All Points East is a weeklong music festival in Victoria Park.

This festival showcases some of the best new music and classic fan favourites, including the Raconteurs, The Strokes and The Chemical Brothers. Beginning in the last weekend of May, this festival spans into the first weekend of June. Better still, The Neighbourhood programme promises even more free weekday fun in the form of on-site workshops and arts activities with their In The Neighbourhood programme.

Stanley Kubrick Exhibition

The Stanley Kubrick Exhibition is currently being showcased at the Design Museum, where you can explore the making of many of the late American Directors Films. Based near our London Holiday Packages great value rooms in West London, the Kensington based Design museum offers an in-depth look into the intricacies of Kubrick’s sets, props and designs.
